Grande Prairie Rotary, Rotaract and Interact - November 3-5

Grande Prairie is home to three energetic and active Rotary Clubs:

Grande Prairie
Grand Prairie Sunrise
Grande Prairie Swan City

In addition, the clubs sponsor and support the Rotaract Club of Grande Prairie and two Interact Clubs – one in Grande Prairie and one in Sexsmith, AB.

Clubs held a most enjoyable joint meeting at the Holiday Inn. Paul Harris fellowships were awarded and club presidents were recognized for their support for polioplus.

Board meetings with all club directors were again inspiring as club directions were discussed...

Interact clubs met at Sexsmith High School to share their projects and plans with members of these clubs as well as AG and DGN Kevin Hilgers, Wayne and me.

The Rotary airport signage welcoming visitors to Grande Prairie also lets folks know that Rotary is making a difference in this community and beyond the borders of this Northern Alberta city.

The Rotary Room sign outside the Quality Inn, a meeting place for the GP club is impressive. DGN Kevin has been busy-thanks Kevin.

The list of projects and fund raisers in this city is extensive:

To name a few...Green-athon, Foodbank Drives, Blood Donar Clinics, Terry Fox Run, - Child Friendly School projects in Bolivia, Guatemala Literacy Project, Belize Literacy Program, Highway to Mexico, Container to Ethiopia...Dream Home lottery -

Thank you for your hospitality.
