Vermilion October 28th

Vermilion-chartered in 1955- the first club project was planting trees in the beautiful Vermilion River Valley. In 2005 Rotary Centennial year – the club built Rotary Lookout an impressive structure with reclaimed brick, rock and and historical information on this community. WOW The rock came from Rotarian Dean McMullan.

The Rotary meetings are held in Rotary Room of the Community Centre...plaques and club history including a framed photo of charter members of the club are proudly displayed in this room - a great space for Rotary. Club members also working in teams provide breakfast.

President John Lunty and Marnie hosted us for dinner before the Board meeting. ADG Richard Starke joined us from Lloydminster. A few more members came out for fellowship and informal discussions about this vibrant Rotary community.

What a pleasure to welcome and induct 2 new Rotarians and welcome Rose from Belgium.

President-elect Scott is ready to get on board with some planning to build this club even stronger.

Thanks Vermilion – many of our young citizens have enjoyed the Adventures in Firefighting program offered by your club.

Your International orphanage project in Mexico brings hope to many disadvantaged individuals. Thank you for all you do for Rotary...see you at the bonspiel in February - Training in November...

There are waves and white cap options somewhere in between. This project will compliment their skateboard park, one of their first projects.
