Beyond Borders 2010 Zone 24-32 Institute, London, Ontario
For the past 5 days, Wayne and I had the privilege of meeting with our RI President Ray Klinginsmith and leaders from zones 24 & 32 of Rotary International.
There were many highlights of this week, but for me it was time spent with RI President Ray. We were seated with Ray and Judy during one of the evening events and had several opportunities to meet and chat with him throughout the Institute.
We heard a little... Cowboy Logic
Highlights of this gathering included introducing DGE Harry Buddle and Judy, District 5370 in coming Governor and spending time with PDG Bruce and Cheryl, DGN Kevin and Janice, IPDG Terry and Mary and our webmaster and major donar to the Rotary Foundation Hans Granholm.
November 10th – a great day of sharing with other Governors (classmates) from across our two zones; November 11th a day of honouring our fallen soldiers and reaffirming Rotary's mission for a peaceful world.
As part of a Rotary Foundation Plenary session, District 5370 was recognized for the support of the Rotary Foundation, I was pleased to present an overview of the Belize Literacy Program. Thanks to Jerome Martin for his support and guidance in preparing the presentation slides.
Speakers, displays and panellist informed and challenged Rotarians to make Rotary BIGGER BETTER BOLDER
Polio Survivor Ramish Ferris shared his story and heard his passionate plea to Rotarians to continue to support the Polio-plus campaign.
Let the good times roll, again! Is the theme of the 2011 RI Convention in new Orleans in May.
Next Institute is in Boston, August 2011.
